إستنكارًا لأحداث العنف في المجتمع اللّبناني ضد المهمشين والأقليات فيه من مثليين ومثليات, نساء, أطفال, والعمّال والعاملات الأجانب وغيرهم, تدعو جمعيّة حلم بالتعاون مع جمعيات المجتمع المدني اللّبناني الناشطة في مجال حقوق الإنسان لتجمّع سلمي وإضاءة شموع, مساء الأحد الواقع في 22 شباط 2009 في تمام الساعة الخامسة إلى السادسة بعد الظهر في منطقة السوديكو – بيروت.”

In opposition to the violence in the Lebanese society targeting the minorities as of homosexuals, women, children, domestic and foreign workers and others, Helem in collaboration with Human Rights organizations active in the Lebanese civil society invites to a sit-in in Sodeco, Beirut. The sit-in is on the 22nd of February 2009 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.”

according to your logic, i should leave the palestinian people alone too, and let them face occupation and terrorism alone. very refreshing, i fail to see how can someone defend marginalized and victims around the world just because i dont share their nationality. you dont know what solidarity means.

and for your information, i dont think there is freedom in lebanon, palestinian refugees, women, homosexuals are not allowed to speak for their rights, lebanon is as abusive state as any other Arab country, it’s its chaos that made people mix up between “space” and “freedom”.
